Victor Thomas

Mr. Victor is the Chief Executive Officer for Garden State Care company. He moved to the United States in 1998 when he was 21 years old. He founded Garden State Care at East Brunswick location in 2011. Initially, the company provided pharmacy services, however, after becoming CEO, Mr. Victor expanded his role to include full service senior care with a focus on nutrition and emotional well-being.

Caring for the elderly is more than a business to Mr. Victor. In his culture, older people are venerated, so his mission is to provide the same level of care that we all want our older parents to enjoy in return for all they have done for their children and grandchildren. That’s why Mr. Victor ensures that every caregiver He hires at Garden State Care understands and fulfills his mission to provide the residents a safe environment with attention paid to their medical and nutritional needs.

Mr. Victor like to be surrounded by seniors and has passion to serve them because he believes that;

  1. They are our parents. They raised us, and made sacrifices for us and the family all these years to make sure we grown up to be the person that we are. We need to provide them the best care because they deserve it. They cared for us and now they’re the ones who need us.
  2. They love us. As we grown, our elderly parents were there every stop of the way. Through our fumbles and triumphs, they have loved us unconditionally. We owe it to them and to ourselves that they are in good hands and that we show our love in return by caring for them or providing them the same care they have shown us.
  3. They made sacrifices for us. From the moment our mothers carried us in her womb, until we grew up to be who or what we are today, our parents have definitely made sacrifices to make sure we are in good hands. Do the same for them by providing them quality elderly care at home or in adult daycare facilities or their medication and healthy food.
  4. Show our appreciate them. Caring for them and attending to their needs is one of the many ways we can show that our love and appreciate them.
  5. Heritage. Our elders are part of our family and they can impart traditions and ideals that have been integral to our family’s history and our own personal identity.
  6. Learn from them. They have been through things we can’t imagine. Throughout the years, they have weathered the many storms of life, and from here we can find precious life lessons. Therefore, take the time to heed what they say and learn from their lives.
  7. They need a sense of belongingness. Providing them good elderly care by ourselves or with the help of professionals stops them from feeling isolated and depressed. We help continue to provide them a sense of community, a social life, that empowers and energizes them.
  8. Gain insight into their values. They lived through a time where the value system is different from our . By spending time to talk to them and get to know their history, we can gain insight into how they lived, how life was in their times, and learn values that we can also apply to our generation.
  9. They need to feel a sense of purpose. Part of properly caring for our elderly loved ones is providing them a sense of purpose so they will always look forward to the days ahead of them instead of being filled with dread or uncertainty.
  10. They are nearing the end. Let’s face it, sooner or later, with their age, the future becomes more uncertain. This can take a toll on their physical and mental health. Make them live out the rest of their lives feeling happiness and at peace as well as feeling loved and cared for.
